Active Voice announced the release of Kinesis, its new unified communications solution for large enterprises based on Microsoft Exchange. Chapura announced the release of KeyContacts 1.3 software, which is designed for Palm Powered handheld owners who synchronize with Microsoft Outlook Contacts. KeyContacts 1.3 allows you to share contact information by sending KeyContacts records via Bluetooth. Also new in version 1.3 is the Palm Quick Look Up that enables no-tap searches by scrolling alphabetically, character by character (up to five characters), through the contact list.

Microsoft Outlook users can get the free Eliminate Spam! Microsoft Outlook add-on released by KMGI. Eliminate Spam! is an anti-spam solution which uses more than 170 customizable spam filters and external databases of known spammers to accurately remove practically all spam messages.

Seaside Software announced that it has signed a joint marketing agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company’s regional Israeli branch. Under the terms of the deal, HP will resell HiPerExchange to Fortune 2000 enterprises, government agencies, educational institutions and network service providers. HiPerExchange builds a replica of the Exchange OWA server inside the client.

Microsoft announced that Microsoft Exchange Server and the Outlook messaging and collaboration client are being deployed as part of Defense Message System (DMS) 3.0. Microsoft collaborated with several companies, including SPYRUS Inc. and Protek, to deliver DMS, which helps provide secure, writer-to-reader authenticated messaging to Department of Defense users.
