Sprint and Handspring announced the commercial availability of the new PCS Phone by Handspring Treo 300. The Treo 300 is designed exclusively for the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network.

Deersoft announced expanded platform support for the company’s SpamAssassin Pro anti-spam software. Users of Microsoft Outlook on Windows 98 and Windows ME, in addition to Windows 2000 and Windows XP, now have the functionality of anti-spam filtering technology. Deersoft also announced the immediate availability of an auto-update feature: the software will automatically do a quick inspection for any new and improved rules and features, and then ask users whether they want them installed.

Sprint PCS’ launched its new high speed wireless service called PCS Vision. According to News.com, PCS Vision gives you the ability to check email and quickly surf the Web from your mobile phone.

Plumtree Software announced the availability of the Plumtree Portal Package for midsized enterprises and midsized organizations within larger enterprises. The package includes the Plumtree Corporate Portal platform for 250 users, server products for collaboration and database application development, and integration products for email, calendar, contacts and Excel files.

Information Management Research announced the release of Alchemy MailStore, providing companies the ability to store, index and search Microsoft Outlook 2000 and 2002 email messages and attachments. Alchemy MailStore will automatically capture email data including, To, From, Subject, and the information of the body of an email message, and in addition, will also capture and index the data in hundreds of attachment types. The program will allow you to search that content.

VIDISolutions announced the release of VIDITalk, an enterprise streaming media application that allows you to create and execute audio and video content directly from your desktops. VIDITalk integrates with widely-used email and instant messaging applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes and AOL IM.

Wildfire Communications announced the addition of the Wildfire Contact Manger to the Wildfire Virtual Assistant. The Contact Manager enables you to import contacts from Microsoft Outlook directly into your Wildfire account, eliminating the need to recreate information and allowing access to those contacts through voice commands.
