Sperry Software has released two new add-on solutions for Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002 which allows you to remove duplicates. Duplicate Journals Eliminator helps you to remove duplicate Outlook journal entries that can be produced by synchronizing to your PDA. Duplicate Posts Eliminator allows you to remove duplicate posts which can occur on Microsoft Exchange public folders or other shared folders.

GFI launched GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP 8, a major upgrade to its GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP 7. GFI MailEssentials 8 includes several anti-spam components that detect typical spam practices, such as incorrect From headers with nonexistent domains. GFI MailEssentials also allows administrators to configure lists of keywords and phrases enabling it to identify some spam.

PC World reports that AT&T Wireless Services will be the first carrier to offer mobile data service in the United States on Palm’s Tungsten W. The Tungsten W can be used with AT&T’s Global System for Mobile Communications/General Packet Radio Service and will ship with Visto Enterprise Express and Palm’s VersaMail for accessing POP or IMAP email accounts. They support various groupware applications, including Microsoft Outlook and IBM’s Lotus Notes.

RSA Security and PKWARE announced the release of RSA SureFile software powered by PKZIP, a new desktop security and data compression solution. Additional application plug-in modules help to integrate the RSA SureFile software functionality with desktop software including the Microsoft Outlook messaging and collaboration client.

AltiGen Communications announced a new IP-based platform for the small-to-midsize business contact center market of 10-500 agents. AltiContact Manager provides contact centers with a VoIP-based system that includes the following features: skills-based routing, Voice Mail, Unified Messaging combining voice with email and Web interactions, call detail reporting and built-in integration with CRM packages like Microsoft CRM, Goldmine, ACT! and Microsoft Outlook.

Pumatech announced that America Online will utilize Pumatech’s Intellisync software to provide a synchronization solution for several America Online brands. Intellisync for AOL will enable synchronization of the AOL Calendar, Alerts & Reminders, and Address Book with either Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express software, and with Palm OS or Pocket PC handheld devices.

Factiva announced a new release of its news and decision portal software, Factiva Publisher. The software, which is built on an XML architecture, allows customers to integrate business news and information into the portal interface along with Microsoft Outlook and Web components.

Susteen announced that it has released DataPilot version 2.8.3. DataPilot allows the transfer of contact information between your mobile phone, PC, Palm Desktop, and other PDAs. This software interfaces with the contact management software, such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express and ACT!.

Web Response Grabber from eGrabber automatically scans Outlook for email from web forms, extracts information in email and creates/updates contact in Outlook Contact folder. It schedules follow-up activities, processes bounce email and removes invalid email addresses in Outlook.
