
Sendmail is partnering with software company Cloudmark to provide integrated antispam features for companies using Sendmail email messaging products. According to IT World, Cloudmark’s Authority enterprise antispam technology will be integrated with Sendmail MTAs (message transfer agents), giving Sendmail customers a plug-and-play antispam technology.

Internet Week reviews Microsoft Outlook 2003. The review says that Outlook 2003 users can connect directly and securely to an Exchange 2003 server over the Internet, without having to use a VPN or other additional security. That feature will prove to be a boon for both mobile and remote workers, while reducing support tasks.

Network World Fusion reports that Microsoft is working on identity technology for its Longhorn operating system that it hopes will evolve into a cross-platform, standard format that companies can use to secure digital relationships and share resources. Longhorn, which isn’t expected to be released until 2006, is part of a slate of products that promise to integrate Microsoft’s software with .Net and Web services. The integration plan parallels efforts by competitors such as IBM with WebSphere.

Sonexis announced Sonexis ConferenceManager 4.0, the new version of the company’s integrated audio and Web conferencing system. Sonexis ConferenceManager 4.0 introduces new collaborative capabilities including application sharing and audio recording and playback, adds integration with Lotus Notes to its existing integration with Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and contact management, and adds another layer of security with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) support.

Expand Beyond announced general availability of version 2.3 of PocketAdmin mobile software for Windows administration with enhanced support for Exchange Server management. With PocketAdmin for Windows 2.3, system administrators can now remotely manage email servers from a handheld device securely and in real-time.

Mirapoint announced its new Full-Spectrum email security technology, which includes features for mail server and gateway-level spam protection, spam recognition and tagging intelligence, and personalized end-user controls. Mirapoint Message Director supports Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino/Notes.

Sana Security unveiled Primary Response 2.0, an intrusion-prevention solution that runs on the host to detect and block server vulnerabilities, now also supports Linux platforms and Windows 2003. CRN reports that Sana also expanded vulnerability protection to custom applications and Microsoft Exchange mail servers.

Pumatech announced the availability of its TrueSync Server 4.0 software – a SyncML-compliant solution that provides wireless synchronization of PIM (personal information management) data across applications, devices and networks. TrueSync Server 4.0 supports synchronization of SyncML devices with Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino enterprise groupware, as well as Oracle, DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Panda Software announced the launch of EnterpriSecure Antivirus. EnterpriSecure offers ExchangeSecure, an antivirus protection for Microsoft Exchange Server systems from version 5.5 to the latest Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. It also offers DominoSecure, which protects IBM’s Lotus Notes and Domino groupware solutions from all types of malicious code.
