
Sprint PCS Group said it planned to offer businesses a new service that will allow you to access corporate email via cell phones or handheld computers in mid-2002. The company said its Sprint PCS Business Connection Enterprise Edition would offer secure, network-based wireless access to Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes without the need for special hardware behind the corporate firewall or software in your desktop computers. It will also allow you to access calendars, personal contacts, corporate contacts and document files on their desktop computers with no synchronization required.

Information Week has this article that says Microsoft issued a patch for a security flaw that affects users of Microsoft Outlook 2000 and 2002. According to the article, if you use create an email using Microsoft Word as the email editor, it could create a situation that would allow a hacker to run potentially malicious software on the user’s system.

The physician survey was completed by over 3,000 self-identified physicians responding on their PDAs using the AvantGo mobile Internet service.
