Sunbelt announces a free upgrade to its iHateSpam product for both its Outlook and Outlook Express versions of iHateSpam. The new version 3.1 adds basic spam abuse reporting, allowing users to help in the fight against spam by reporting spammers to their ISP or spamabuse.org.

UniPress Software announced the availability of FootPrints Email Encryption, offering new security options for Microsoft Exchange 5.5 users working with FootPrints and FootPrints for Exchange, UniPress’ Web-based help desk and customer problem management software products. FootPrints Email Encryption is a middleware tool that uses the email encryption capabilities in Exchange 5.5, working with Exchange and Microsoft Outlook to ensure the secure exchange of FootPrints email data.

One Voice Technologies announced the commercial availability of their MobileVoice Sync product. This product works with Microsoft Outlook on any user’s PC, allowing them to setup their MobileVoice Voice-Activated Dialing and Email address books.

eIQnetworks announced the release of MailAnalyzer 3.0 for Windows and Linux, a cross-platform, browser based mail server analysis and reporting solution that tracks, analyzes, and reports on the movement of email into and from an organization. eIQnetworks’ MailAnalyzer analyzes data from Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Sendmail server logs, mailboxes, public folders and event logs, identifying the sender, recipient, time, date and size of the message.

The Boston Globe reports that Palm introduced an email server that will deliver corporate information to its i705 and m500 series handhelds. Palm said the service, starting at $2,499, would be available Oct. 28 and would work with Microsoft Exchange and Windows, Sun’s Solaris operating system, Lotus Domino, and IMAP (Internet message access protocol).
