Wireless Software reports Infowave Software announced the availability of the Workgroup Edition of Infowave Mobile Messaging, a wireless software solution designed to enable up to fifteen mobile users to access their corporate email and calendar using any wireless Pocket PC 2002 or Palm OS device on virtually any wireless network. The solution offers mobile access to Microsoft Exchange and allows users to send and receive email and schedule appointments just as if they were sitting at their desk.

PCWorld.com reports there are two email add-ons for Outlook and Outlook Express on display at Comdex this week designed to manage and protect your Microsoft in-box. According to the article, "Creo is showing an update to its $99 Six Degrees software program, which adds advanced tools for searching and sorting e-mail messages and attachments stored on your PC. Australian software firm Sentrybay is demonstrating ViraLock, a $20 Outlook add-on that claims to be a foolproof way to permanently protect your in-box from self-replicating worms and viruses."

MyInKy.com has an article on Logitech’s io Personal Digital Pen, which works like a ball point, and converts your handwriting to live text in order to create calendar items or emails in Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes.

Logitech is now shipping the Logitech io Personal Digital Pen to a variety of online retailers and catalogs in the U.S. The complete Logitech io retail package includes the pen, a rapid-charging USB cradle, Logitech io Software, one Mead Cambridge Limited Digital Notebook, Post-it Software Notes-Lite and one pocketbook of Post-it Notes for Digital Pens from 3M, an AC adaptor and five ink refills. Email support includes Microsoft Outlook.

Internet Week reports that SentryBay plans to introduce software designed to block many email viruses by encrypting email addresses in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express.

Pumatech announced that its Intellisync Lite synchronization software will be bundled with the Zaurus SL-5600, a new Linux/Java-based handheld device introduced by Sharp Corporation. Pumatech’s Intellisync Lite software for the Sharp Zaurus provides synchronization of email, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and expense data between the Zaurus SL-5600 handheld and the Microsoft Outlook and Palm Desktop PC-based software applications.

Chapura announced the release of KeyContacts 1.2 software. KeyContacts software from Chapura lets customers synchronize more of their detailed Microsoft Outlook Contacts information with their Palm Powered handhelds. KeyContacts 1.2 takes advantage of the jog wheel feature that is on a number of Palm OS handhelds, letting customers dial phone numbers from the Detailed List View and Contact View screens, without any stylus taps.

Habeas and Sunbelt Software announced that the Habeas Sender Warranted Email service is now shipping in the latest release of iHateSpam. The latest release, incorporating Habeas SWE, is designed to automatically allow any incoming mail that includes Habeas indicators. iHateSpam customers can access the new Habeas-enabled version by simply going to the iHateSpam options menu and choosing Update.
