
According to the highly respected William Saffire in the equally highly respected <A HREF="http://www.nytimes.com/2002/11/14/opinion/14SAFI.html?ex=3D1037854800&en=3D">New York Times</A>, "Every purchase you make with a credit card, every magazine subscription you buy and medical prescription you fill, every Web site you visit and e-mail you send or receive, every academic grade your receive, every bank deposit you make, every trip you book and every event you attend..."
I don't know about you, but this really, really worries me. It's a tough challenge: protecting America from terrorism. But if we sacrifice our fundamental rights, aren't we handing victory to the bad guys on a silver platter?
