
Eros Technology has developed a new Web utility for Palm handheld users. Wyncs (pronounced winks) Web Sync Utility creates syncable links allowing Web surfers to quickly grab information from Web sites and have it for offline viewing. It can transfer content to the standard data types used by Microsoft Outlook and Palm OS devices including Contact, Calendar, Memo, and To-Do.

Touchpoint announced the release of Touchpoint Mail for Outlook, a free tool that enables users to create and mail commercial quality printed cards from their computer. Touchpoint custom-prints the full-color 5×7 folded cards and postcards — personalized with the user’s handwritten signature, logo, message, and choice of stamp — and sends them first class U.S. mail the next business day.

GFI launched GFI DownloadSecurity for ISA Server, a content security solution that checks all downloads for viruses and enables administrators to control what type of files enter their network, from where and for whom. InfoWorld reports that Quantum rolled out a slim, new storage server, furthering its push into the network attached storage (NAS) market. Quantum’s new Guardian 4400 system, which will start shipping at the start of September, is a 1U (1.75 inches) high server that can store up to 640G bytes of data.

Panda Antivirus Software and Sabre Holdings Corporation announced a joint strategy. Panda Software will provide antivirus software protection to Sabre travel agencies in Latin America. C2C have launched Exchange Security Risk Auditor (ESRA) in response to ongoing demands from corporate users to provide methods of identifying and correcting flawed Outlook mailbox and folder settings. ESRA gives the system administrator and security team an application to spot and amend errors in access rights to mailboxes and folders.
