
<p>Microsoft and Apple are both pushing into enemy territory as they unveil office suites to run on each other's devices.</p><p>After years of speculation, Microsoft has released a Microsoft Office app for the iPhone. The catch is that ''Office Mobile for Office 365 subscribers'' is, as the name suggests, only available to Office 365 subscribers who pay for Office monthly or annually.</p><p>An Office 365 subscription includes desktop versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications, along with the ability to edit documents in a browser and sync them between computers using Microsoft's SkyDrive cloud storage.</p><p>Microsoft's free Office Mobile app is initially only available from the US iTunes store, although it's not hard for Australians to create a US iTunes account, and the app will work with Australian Office 365 subscriptions.
