<p>Microsoft has announced its intention to bring Outlook 2013 to the RT version of Windows 8 tablets offered by itself and partner vendors such as Dell, Lenovo and Asus as another part of the 8.1 update to the platform.</p><p>The firm's chief financial officer, Tami Reller, revealed the plans when speaking at Computex in Taiwan. Microsoft is also hosting its TechEd event in New Orleans this week, where it has has given more insights into the first update for the Windows 8 platform.</p><p>Explaining more about the plans in a blog post, communications manager at Microsoft, Brandon LeBlanc, said that the arrival of Outlook on RT machines would be a welcome boost for business users of devices running on the platform.</p><p>"We know that the addition of Outlook for those using ARM-based Windows devices such as the Surface RT, Dell XPS 10, Lenovo Yoga 11, and Asus VivoTab RT as well as new tablets to come in the future has been a popular request from consumers and businesses alike," he said in the blog post.</p><p><a href="http://www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2272923/microsoft-outlook-set-for-armbased-windows-rt-devices-with-windows-81-update">Keep reading...</a></p>
