<p>Instant video messaging company Glide has raised more than $1 million from venture capital funds and private investors. The start up did not specify the exact sum raised in the financing round, only saying it was a seven figure amount, and named some of the investors as former CEO of ICQ and AOL IM Orey Gilliam and founder and former CEO of ooVoo Philippe Schwartz.</p><p>The company said that it leverages its patent-pending, streaming video technology to enable real-time video messaging. With Glide, video messages are broadcast live the moment recording begins and are simultaneously saved to the cloud for on-demand consumption. Conversations can occur in real-time, or at the convenience of each user.</p><p>The round of financing came as Glide launched its video messaging app for iPhones.
