Computer pioneer dies

Bob Bemer, a computer pioneer who helped develop the ASCII coding system and the technology that led to the "escape" key, <A HREF="http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1104_2-5247678.html?tag=zdnn.alert">has died at the age of 84</A> after battling cancer.
