Spam all-time high in May

May saw the <A HREF="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1510&ncid=1510&e=8&u=/afp/20040608/tc_afp/us_internet_spam">highest recorded number</A> of email messages classified as spam, according to one survey. Antivirus software maker MessageLabs said it scanned 909 million emails sent to its customers and found that 691.5 million of them were spam, a rate of 76%.
