Report details Microsoft thinking

A leaked European Union position paper says the EU's antitrust investigation found that <A HREF="http://news.com.com/2100-1016_3-5197411.html?tag=nefd.top">Microsoft knew it could keep customers on Windows</A> no matter what because deeply embedded APIs make a switch to another system a difficult task. In a response to the document, Microsoft slammed the EU as making up new law to punish the software maker.
