
The Detroit News reports that Microsoft is making computer <A HREF="http://www.detnews.com/2003/technology/0311/18/technology-327953.htm">security against viruses and spam its top priority</A> and bringing out more products for the fight. At COMDEX, Bill Gates showed off a new anti-spam program, called Intelligent Message Filter, which will be an add-on for users of Microsoft's Exchange email server software in the first half of 2004. Gates also previewed a new version of its Internet Security and Acceleration Server program, intended to block email and Internet-borne computer viruses better. The program is set go on sale in the middle of next year.
