Here comes Sun

Sun Microsystems' Solaris will become the third operating system <A HREF="http://www.globetechnology.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20031010.gtsunoct10/BNStory/Technology/">to take advantage of Advanced Micro Devices' 64-bit Opteron</A> processor. The Globe and Mail says that software is gaining in importance at Sun. Its latest is the Java Enterprise System, and the first priority over at Sun will be offering customers help migrating from IBM WebSphere to the Sun software, and the second will be help switching from Microsoft Exchange.
