Trend Micro announced that ADC Telecommunications has deployed a suite of products including Trend Micro OfficeScan Corporate Edition and Trend Micro ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange 5.5 to provide an integrated strategy of virus protection for the Internet gateway, the Exchange server, the LAN server, and desktops.

Notify Technology Corporation announced that its corporate mobile email solution called NotifyLink Enterprise Exchange Edition has been enhanced to simultaneously support three different Palm OS based wireless 2-way devices in addition to its currently supported wireless 2-way devices. The three Palm OS based devices that will now be supported include: the Handspring Treo 180 Series, the Kyocera Corporation QCP6035, and the Palm i705. With NotifyLink, corporations can now utilize a multiple device, multiple network Enterprise Exchange Solution for their mobile workforce.

Active Voice announced that it is accepting orders for its Repartee unified messaging system with enhanced Microsoft Windows applications (version 7.60) as of July 1, 2002. The latest version offers several new features, including Text-to-Speech for Microsoft Exchange, Mailbox Manager, and enhanced client-based unified messaging and call control applications.

FranklinCovey announced the introduction of PlanPlus for Microsoft Outlook, an application that integrates FranklinCovey’s planning and time management methodologies into Microsoft Outlook. FranklinCovey’s new PlanPlus software features the productivity and effectiveness curriculum from FranklinCovey’s What Matters Most and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People workshops.

The Boston Globe reports that a new feature from AT&T Wireless lets customers use a mobile phone to find the approximate location of another cell phone user. The company also introduced an application that enables Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes users to forward email in real time from an office computer to a cell phone even if the corporate network isn’t set up for email forwarding.

Integrated Research announced new intrusion detection features in its PROGNOSIS systems management suite that enhance system and network security in mission-critical Windows environments. Integrity Analyst, a new component of the PROGNOSIS for Windows Advanced Systems Manager module, provides customers with a second line of defense against system or network sabotage, information theft and denial of service (DoS) attacks.

GFI has launched GFI Mail essentials for Exchange 7, a new product that adds email tools to Microsoft Exchange Server, including anti-spam, disclaimers, mail archiving, Internet mail reporting, server-based auto replies and POP3 downloading. With GFI Mail essentials, Exchange administrators can block spam at server level; add a corporate message to all outgoing email; archive mail; create reports on email use; download mail from POP3 mailboxes and direct it to one or more Exchange mailboxes; and send server-based auto replies.

CC Data Software announced that version 2.5 of its e-MARC software would ship in the third quarter of 2002. e-MARC was the first product that met the email preservation needs of both the enterprise and the end user. Version 2.5 adds basic records management capabilities and is more easily scalable for organizations with multiple mail servers. e-MARC 2.5 includes a server-based archival solution for Microsoft Exchange, as well as the ability for individual Microsoft Outlook users to store and retrieve emails from a secure, centrally managed archive.
