That rumor may soon become reality, and we've got all the details in our Thursday recap...Readability Debuts Redesigned iOS 7-Friendly App</p><p>Instapaper and Pocket keep fresh updates coming to their respective read later services, but the folks at Readability have been relatively quiet recently -- that is, until this week, when the company launched version 2.0 of their iOS app. Featuring an entirely new look and feel that takes full advantage of iOS 7, the app now support background sync and the current range of 64-bit devices, all while promising to be faster than ever before. Readability 2.0 is now available on the App Store and requires iOS 7 or later.Verizon Offers International Messaging, Calling Promotion</p><p>Back in October, T-Mobile US unveiled its Uncarrier 3.0 initiative, which should make international calls and text a whole lot less painful on the wallet. Rival Verizon Wireless finally launched a counteroffensive of its own this week with the introduction of World Messaging Unlimited, a limited-time promotion that allows customers to save on text messages sent to "most countries around the world" for only $5 per month. The add-on feature also allows discounted calls to North and Central America as well as the Caribbean, but Big Red will have to do a whole lot better than that if they want to keep global travelers hooked on their service.Nokia Inks MWC 2014 Event, Android Handset Incoming?</p><p>The Verge reported Thursday that Nokia has booked a media event for Monday, Feb. 24, during the annual Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, Spain. As you may recall, Nokia's Windows Phone devices and services have been sold off to Microsoft, and the iconic Finnish brand isn't expected to appear on further handsets making the invitation a bit of a head scratcher indeed.
