<p>Ever since he appeared with members of Queen backing him on American Idol in 2009, it was clear to everyone that Adam Lambert would be a perfect fit in front of the mic for the legendary English rockers.</p><p>Sporadic performances followed at various festivals and award shows, but it took until this week for an extensive road trip to be announced.</p><p>Queen + Adam Lambert will kick off a 19-date North American summer tour, beginning June 19 in Chicago. Philly gets a show toward the tail end, July 17, at the Wells Fargo Center. The band promises a big and daring set design as they labor over the setlist.</p><p>Following a half-decade with former Free and Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers at the helm, five years that was well-received live albeit with a single album release widely panned, it only made sense for the group to move on with Lambert, who is much more in the theatrical and flamboyant style of original singer Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991.</p><p><a href="http://www.delcotimes.com/arts-and-entertainment/20140306/queen-to-embark-on-north-american-tour">Keep reading...</a></p>
