California's Secretary of State is allowing a wealthy investor, Tim Draper, to start collecting signatures for his petition.</p><p>Draper recently told CBS News' Ben Tracy why he wants to draw the line in so many parts of the West. "Leaving the status quo as it is, is a crime," he said. "It's a crime to all those children and all those grandchildren. "They're trying to be all things to all people, and they are doing nothing for anyone."</p><p><a href="http://www.kmov.com/news/national/California-to-split-into-six-states-Plan-closer-than-ever-to-a-vote-247057581.html">Keep reading...</a></p><p>Read also:</p><p><a href="http://bigthink.com/strange-maps/646-six-californias-a-silly-con">646 - Six Californias: a Silly Con?</a> (Big Think)</p><p><a href="http://www.examiner.com/article/initiative-to-form-six-californias-gets-go-ahead-to-collect-signatures">Initiative to form six Californias gets go-ahead to collect signatures</a> (Examiner.com)</p><p><a href="http://rt.com/usa/california-us-petition-draper-246/">'Six Californias' plan to split up most populous US state gets green light</a> (RT)</p><p>Explore: <a href="http://news.google.com/news/more?ncl=dOFXHMfVFNt48fM-HIMekM8BOOzVM&authuser=0&ned=us">113 additional articles.</a></p>
