<p>This week, MetaVis announced a new reporting dashboard for SharePoint online that gives Office 365 users greater insight into their user activity.</p><p>Previously, it was difficult to get this kind of information on the online version of the product, so MetaVis claims to be filling a functionality gap for SharePoint administrators.</p><p>The idea is to give SharePoint administrators insight into the online version of the product including user activity, site growth and content distribution, as well as identify accessibility and security issues. In particular, administrators can manage security and permissions across sites and lists to ensure consistent security.</p><p>These tools give SharePoint online users the ability to not only gather and see data in a centralized SharePoint data dashboard view, it also provides ways to take actions based on that data to resolve issues from one central environment.
