Gigabyte took the odd decision to sell a tablet called the S10A that runs Windows 8 and give a free copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013, one that's worth nearly 100. Microsoft usually bundles a free copy of this popular office suite with Windows RT and has already announced that it will add Outlook 2013 for RT to the application bundle, boosting its estimated value to nearly 200.

The S10A is powered by an AMD "Temash" A4-1200, one that has two cores, clocked at 1GHz with 1MB L2 cache, a TDP of under 4W and an integrated Radeon HD 8180 GPU (128 cores clocked at 225MHz). AMD says that the A4-1200 is up to five times more powerful than Intel's Z2560 in some benchmarks thanks to a more powerful graphics subsystem.

The rest of the laptop's specification include a full version of Windows 8, up to 500GB onboard storage, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi, up to 14 hours battery life and an optional keyboard docking station. While we applaud Gigabyte's attempts, we worry about the cost of the tablet when it will reach the market and how big/heavy it will be, given that it went for a 2.5in form factor.
