<p>BuildYourEMR announced DirectEMR; a suite of healthcare data exchange solutions using the Direct Project protocol to enable secure sharing of health information. DirectEMR enables healthcare organizations to meet Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements for data exchange and patient engagement in a simple, cost-effective way that is compatible with most existing EMR solutions.</p><p>DirectEMR is available on a subscription basis as a hosted service for health care providers of all sizes from private practices to the largest hospitals. DirectEMR includes two solutions.</p><p>DirectEMR Mail combines Microsoft Exchange Online with the Direct Project standards to offer a simple but powerful secure email service for less than $10 per month per provider. Users can send and receive secure email just like any normal email from browsers, email clients, and their mobile phones.</p><p>DirectEMR MU is a complete collaboration and communication solution with special focus on Patient Engagement. DirectEMR MU combines the features of DirectEMR Mail with Microsoft HealthVault to enable Blue Button functionality between patients-providers and providers-providers.
