<p>Many SharePoint deployment frustrations can be quashed by dedicating a little more time to theplanning stage, according to users and industry experts.</p><p>Organizations are often so enticed by SharePoint's rich functionality and promise that theyforgo the drudgery of planning in favor of quick implementations, said David Kruglov, managingdirector of Montrose, Calif.-based SharePoint consultancy ShareSquared.</p><p>"We see a lot of customers try to minimize the time spent on planning, architecture and solutiondesign because it doesn't feel like you're making progress," Kruglov said.</p><p>Rushing the planning process can hamper SharePoint's usefulness and lead to high levels ofdissatisfaction within the organization, said John Mancini, president of Bethesda, Md.-basedAssociation for Information and Image Management (AIIM).</p><p><a href="http://searchcontentmanagement.techtarget.com/feature/Plan-carefully-now-to-avoid-SharePoint-deployment-frustration-later">Keep reading...</a></p>
