I never fail to be amazed at the number of "junk" emails I receive, both at work and in my two personal email addresses.

I admit to a bad habit when it comes to my home emails. I may not check my Hotmail account for a week and, as for Yahoo, I'm embarrassed to admit the last time I checked there were something like 14,000 unread emails. (And that was weeks ago.)

The problem with my Yahoo account is almost everything is junk. I still receive emails about "journalism jobs in Citrus Heights," which is worthless to me since I no longer live in California. Also, I'm not sure how some of the jobs are classified as journalism, but, no matter.

I receive solicitations from payday loan companies willing to put $1,000 in an account for me. Right away. Gosh, if it wasn't for the 500 percent interest or whatever it is that would be really swell.
