You can’t use Outlook Express with Windows 7

<p>Q: I just bought a new computer that has Windows 7 instead of the XP that I used before. I really dislike the Windows Live Mail application that comes with it. Is there any way I can download the Outlook Express email program that I used before? Pat Jellander</p><p>A: Not only do I agree with you that Microsoft took a giant step backwards when it stopped using Outlook Express but so do literally thousands of others. If you use Google to do a search on substitutes for Outlook Express you'll find complaint after complaint about Live Mail.</p><p>Here's the bad news. You can't use Outlook Express with Windows 7. I miss Outlook Express. My own solution has been to use Outlook Professional. It comes with some versions of Microsoft Office or it can be purchased separately at the way-too-high price.</p><p>Users have experimented with various free replacements for Outlook Express.
