More manufacturers are outfitting laser printers with technology that leaves microscopic yellow dots on each printed page to identify the printer’s serial number – and ultimately, you, says the San Francisco-based Electronic Frontier Foundation, one of the leading watchdogs of electronic privacy.
The dots, invisible to the naked eye, can be seen using a blue LED light and are used by authorities such as the Secret Service to investigate counterfeit bills made with laser printers, says Lorelei Pagano, director of the Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group.

Under the terms of the deal, Friction.tv is streaming an ePolitix news feed on its political channel home page and is offering branded ePolitix news articles within the Friction.tv website. Videos uploaded in response to a news article from ePolitix are automatically posted into a co-branded ePolitix channel at www.friction.tv/epolitix.

Digital data written to SanDisk SD WORM cards is effectively locked as soon as it is recorded; there is no physical way to alter or delete individual recorded files. Viewing the data is simple, because the cards are readable in any standard SD slot attached to a computer or other SD-compatible device.
