iPhonebook available for Verizon service

iPhonebook is now available on Verizon Wireless’ Get It Now service for the LG VX6000. iPhonebook is a mobile data application which wirelessly links address content from Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Palm Desktop PIM (Personal Information Manager) to Get It Now-enabled phones.

OpenMotion LS by RACO Wireless announced that it has released its Premium Address Book feature that uploads Microsoft Outlook contacts from a PC to their secure server. Your cell phone is turned into a mobile directions finder, providing step-by-step directions to or from anywhere, and it can also auto-connect to a contact telephone number.

MSN Premium unveiled

Microsoft unveiled MSN Premium, a new version of its Internet service that it hopes will appeal to broadband users. According to this article in Business Week, MSN Premium will offer new software features such as a digital photo editor, smoother tie-ins between Hotmail and Outlook email software, and enhanced spam-blocking and security features. MSN Premium will not be officially released to the public until the winter, after it undergoes beta testing beginning next week.

New releases from Intuit

Intuit announced two new products designed to help small businesses and accountants by providing a single screen dashboard with one click access to client/customer detail. QuickBooks Client Manager and QuickBooks Customer Manager link and synch with other software programs, such as QuickBooks financial software, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

PeopleSoft InfoSync Server

InforWorld reports that PeopleSoft plans to announce the PeopleSoft CRM 8.8 Productivity Pack, which includes new technology plus enhancements of some existing functionality. Also coming is an Infosync Server application, which will be designed to let servers running PeopleSoft CRM automatically exchange customer-related data updates via systems equipped with Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes, eliminating the need for manual intervention by users.

SureWave supports Nokia Series 60

JP Mobile announced that its SureWave Enterprise Server, now supports the Symbian OS Nokia Series 60 device platform, in addition to other major device platforms, allowing business users to securely access corporate data with devices such as the Nokia 3650 and Nokia N-Gage smart phones. People can continue to use the device’s familiar applications to access their Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino corporate e-mail server.

Automatic dialing from Outlook

iVoice announced receipt of a notice of allowance for a it’s second patent for Speech-Enabled Automatic Telephone Dialer using an interface with computer based address book programs such as Microsoft Outlook, without the use of PBX’s. The iVoice Name Dialer is an automatic phone dialing system. The system imports the necessary contact information for dialing (names and phone numbers) from a variety of sources including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, ACT, and Gold Mine. The user simply says the name of the person (whose name came from the contact list) and the Name Dialer places the call.
