Google Voice is ideal for individuals who want another phone number, but don't want to pay for a second phone line or forwarding services. Google allows users to create a new telephone number that records and forwards text and voice messages to a landline or mobile phone, or Gmail account. You can create your own voicemail greeting, receive transcribed voice messages, screen calls, and make or receive calls from the number. To set up a telephone number to link to Gmail, you must have an existing phone that Google can forward messages to. About the Author

Ruri Ranbe has been working as a writer since 2008.
