<p>A survey conducted by Metalogix at the SharePoint Conference in November has found that of the 100 administrators who were surveyed, most reported that they were using older versions of SharePoint.</p><p>The survey found that of the companies surveyed, approximately 40 percent were still on SharePoint 2003 or 2007, while 90 percent were overseeing at least one SharePoint farm running SharePoint 2010. Just 10 percent were running Office 365 in the cloud. If you're wondering why it adds up over 100 percent, the respondents were big companies, often running multiple SharePoint farms.</p><p>In fact, more than 35 percent reported having four or more SharePoint server farms. What's more, 15 percent reported they have more than 10 terabytes of data stored in SharePoint farms. Just under 35 percent reported storing between 100 GB and 1 TB of SharePoint data (which is admittedly a very broad range).</p><p>Yet, the vast majority reported that the amount of content in their SharePoint repositories is just exploding.
