Q. I always check my email on the Internet using my Web browser before opening Microsoft Outlook each morning. The past two months, two vendors, Reliant and AT&T, which happens to be my internet provider, send their bills and they show up on via the Web interface but do not transfer over to Outlook. I checked with AT&T and am told I will have to contact Microsoft. Do I have to pay Microsoft for a fix to this problem, or is there something I can do to ensure the transfer from my Yahoo account to my Outlook?

A. If you were not getting any email messages in Outlook I would tend to suspect that Outlook is having a problem, but since you are only missing a few select messages from specific senders it is more likely that the problem centers on these messages or senders.

The most common cause missing email like this tends to be improperly configured anti-spam software or message filtering.

If you are not seeing these messages in your Inbox, check your Outlook Junk folder. Outlook may be misidentifying these messages as junk and stashing them there. If you do find the messages in the Junk folder you can simply right click any message and select Junk E-Mail and then select Mark as Not Junk. Once you do this, the message will then be moved to the Inbox. When you mark a message as not junk, you are then given the option of adding the sender to your Safe Senders or Safe Recipients list.
