Federal spam law hurts California

A <A HREF="http://news.com.com/2100-1028-5145849.html?tag=cd_top">new federal anti-spam law</A> that supersedes a previous, stricter state law will leave Californians with less protection against spammers. The state law that would have given citizens the right to bring private suit against spammers was preempted by the Can-Spam Act.
